We have only been looking for each other since Mount Sinai...

Match #: 1023&1024

After talking since about August '07 and meeting the weekend of Thanksgiving marring was just the next step.

The whole story is very funny, now I can set back and think about the whole ordeal and to tell you the truth I have to laugh a little.

So in mid August myself and the Rabbi's wife were setting at the computer in my office and I asked her if she could just tell by looking at a picture if there might be someone out there for me.I stop on every females pic and knew that I had really went over them all with a fine tooth comb but there was one that I had not emailed. The rabbi's wife told me to stop on a profile that I had never emailed before but I had looked at, at least once maybe even twice a day for the past month.  The rebbitzin told me that I needed to email this lady and that I needed to hurry because that was my wife.I laughed and put it off for about another week, then I finally got the courage to email. So about an hour latter I got an email back from Abigail, we spoke and I had to be very canned, honest and up front about a few things right from the start so there were no hidden secrets or anything that I might regret latter not telling her,at which due to the length of my email and the matters that it concerned she asked for a week to think about it.  I was more than happy and told her that was fine and that I would speak with her in a week.

So;a week came and went and the seconded week was about to be up too, so like the nice guy I am I emailed her back and thanked her for taking the time earlier on to speak with me and I wished her lots of luck in finding her soul mate. Not even 5 mins later she pops back and says that she was sorry but she was sending me a message as I sent her my "good bye message". So with that in hand we started talking.

We spoke for 3 months and decided to meet the weekend of Thanksgiving and she came to me first. I can still tell you what she was wearing and what she looked like the morning I picked her up from the airport here in Dallas.  I had never seen a more beautiful neshama and lady too.

So she stayed for Shabbos and then Motzai Shabbos we did the big hotel date night thing and met a very famous movie star at the same time.  So I was really happy, I got to see two beautiful ladies that night.

Well Sunday morning came very fast after Shabbos and after I got back home from dropping her off Abigail text messaged me and said that she wished she could stay longer that the trip was too short. That is all I needed to hear, I was walking on could 9 for the rest of the day.

So after she got back to Atlanta our late night phone conversations only became longer and more intense. We spoke about marriage and raising a family and also if it might be hard to blend our families together, see Abigail has two sons and I have one.

So after talking we decided that Abigail would come back to Dallas but not just for a visit but for our Vort which was scheduled for Sunday Dec. 30'07. But before she came to Dallas I wanted to come to Atlanta and see her parents and her children. So two weeks after meeting her face to face I was in Atlanta, I can tell you that trip to Atlanta was  great and the whole time I was there I was a bundle of nerves because I was carring around a engagement ring with me the whole time.

The night before I left Atlanta I had decided that I was going to ask Abigail to marry me but getting the courage was an issue all in it's own right. We went out that night we went bowling, to a hotel lobby to talk and out for pizza......finally at 2:15AM a very nervous boy (me)told an even more nervous girl (Abigail) a statement, it went something like this......"Abigail, thank you for all you have done for me while here in Atlanta. I am very happy that I got to meet your parents and your children, you guys have made me feel so at home here and I just wanted to say thank you....again.  But I have to say that there is no way I could ever move to Atlanta alone, the only way I could make a move like this is if you will promise to be my wife." With that I pulled out the ring and slipped it on her finger and she said YES!

So to make a even longer story short, my beautiful wife has a very busy job in Atalanta and making a wedding was something that was going to take a lot more time than what she had. Me being a party planner it was old hat for me, so I put on my party planning shoes and I planned our wedding in 2 weeks.  We forwent the Vort and decided to turn the Vort into our wedding.  All my beautiful bride had to do was just show up for the Chuppah...and she did.

Thank You, Thank You & Thank You to JWed for putting us together, we have only been looking for each other since

Mount Sinai, thank you for making the search that much easier.
