New Jersey to Switzerland to Israel - and back!

Match #: 349&350

In 2002, Rachel was of marriageable age, but was not interested in any of the boys in her hometown in Switzerland, so she figured she would explore online opportunities in order to meet people from other places.
She loved to travel and would fly back and forth to America, Israel, and other parts of Europe often to date, but nothing really became of it. She spoke and dated several guys online, some she spoke to for as long as six months. She made several trips to America to date 5 or 6 guys at a time that she met online.

Three days before one such trip even though she had 5 guys on her roster already lined up for when she arrived, she took a look online to see if anyone new cropped up. She found Jonathan’s profile which she never saw before.

It turns out that Jonathan had his profile online for about 2 years, spoke to several girls online, but nothing ever really came of it and never actually went on a date with anyone he met online. However, he never posted a picture until 2 days before Rachel contacted him.
Rachel never contacted people without photos. Jonathan posted the photo when he realized that JWed had this new option of posting a picture just for Premium members. Jonathan had been dating for about five years prior, mostly with Americans, but had become very frustrated with being setup by other people, so he turned to the World Wide Web for another option.
Although initially quite leery about Rachel living in Switzerland, he figured it was worth a shot, since she mentioned her impending trip to America. They went out in New York a week after Rachel’s first email and a few weeks later, Jonathan flew to Switzerland and they fell in love in a very short time.

Although this could be the story of two random people meeting over the Internet, chance meetings like this don’t just happen……for as it turns out, Jonathan’s grandparents moved to Switzerland during the War before emigrating to America, and one of his grandmother’s best friends throughout her life was Rachel’s grandmother and they had been in contact almost up until their deaths in the year prior to Rachel and Jonathan’s chance encounter on JWed.
