Pictures unseen and long distance!

Match #: 273&274

I had joined JWed in February 2003 and Chani, on Labor Day weekend. Shortly after Simchas Torah I contacted her through the site and after a week or so of preliminary details and exchanging of references, I called her on the telephone. We discovered a lot in common and within days we were speaking nightly and exchanging one or more emails daily.
After a few weeks, I booked a flight to Philadelphia for our first meeting. I waited until after Chanuka so as not to interfere with her son's Bar Mitzva. By then our relationship had become so close that the hardest part was clueing our children in gradually. Chani, before I arrived, had arranged to come to Toronto six weeks later, to meet my children. All of this happened before we had even met or knew what the other looked like. Neither of us had posted pictures on the site!
We had to wait until the end of the school year to marry and managed to see each other about every two months in the interim. We were married on the 15 of Tammuz 5764 - July 4th in Philadelphia, a real celebration!
Now, a year after our first contact and after moving a whole family across the border, we remain amazed at having found each other - two people truly meant to be together - and as well at the way it came to be - pictures unseen and long distance. If it's meant to be, it happens! Baruch Hashem!

Menachem and Chani Rosenberg, JWed Match #137 were married, 15 of Tammuz 5764 - July 4th 2004.
