He proposed in the first message!

Match #: 185&186

Idith was browsing through the profiles of various men when one of them caught her attention.
She began reading…’I believe that marriage today is completely overrated.’ She thought this guy is nuts! She continued reading. ‘We are led to believe from an early age that marriage is the most important thing in the world, and if we're not married then there is something terrible wrong with us. However . . . marriage today is in fact very harmful to the society we live in and the entire world. First of all the current world population is growing at an alarming and in few generations there will no longer be enough resources in the world to feed and shelter everyone!'
She was now convinced. He was totally nuts! But, she was very intrigued by the profile and decided to read to the end of profile, which contained a few more bizarre reasons as to why marriage today was harmful.
However, when she got to the last line, her opinion of him completely changed. It read. ‘That being said, I still would like to get married.’ The last line with the smiley face made her realize that the whole profile was an expression of humor and should not be taken with all literal seriousness. She sent him a quick note. ‘Wow! I would like to get married too.’ Eli responded,‘Great. How about tomorrow?...’
Thus it turned out that with barely knowing anything about each other, Eli had proposed to Idith and they decided to marry!
Well actually it was a bit more complicated than that….
Idith and Eli continued to communicate on-line and after a week or two they had their first phone conversation. They decided to meet a few days later. Idith and Eli were both very nervous since they hardly knew anything about each other. But when Eli arrived at Idith’s door they were both pleasantly surprised. They dated for about four months and were engaged for five months.
Looking back, Idith notes that if she had not read to the end of Eli’s profile, she would never have noticed the ending and would have communicated with him. Eli also notes that because his profile was provocative he began having second thoughts about it and had already decided to change it to something more serious when he noticed Idith’s message. It thus seems that Hashem had a very interesting and surprising way of causing us to meet - which could not have been perceived ahead of time!
